Fritz!AnsweringMachine provides you easy access to messages of one or multiple Fritz!Box integrated answering machines.
The messages will be downloaded from the Fritz!Box, stored within this app. and can then be accessed also in offline situations when your iPhone cannot connect to the Fritz!Box. Messages can be downloaded also outside your local WiFi network if the option "Grant access to storage to users from the Internet" is enabled and you configured a dynamic DNS domain name in your Fritz!Box.
Prerequisites for using this app:
1. You need an AVM Fritz!Box with an integrated answering machine
2. Answering machine must be configured in your Fritz!Box
3. For Fritz!Box 7170 & 7270: A USB storage device (USB stick or hard disk) must be connected to your Fritz!Box and the option "Use USB storage device to increase recording capacity" must be enabled. This is not required for Fritz!Box 7390 with the current firmware (Fritz!OS 5.2x) as the internal storage can be used.
Currently the AVM Fritz!Box models 7170, 7270 and 7390 with the latest firmware are supported. In principle it should also be possible to use other Fritz!Box models with an integrated answering machine together with this app. But other models were not yet tested. If you have feedback about using the app with other models please let us know by sending an email to support@ntelo.de. If the file format or the way messages are stored by the Fritz!Box answering machine should be changed in future firmware versions, we'll make all effort to adopt this app accordingly. Nevertheless it cannot be guaranteed that this is technically possible in all cases.
