A look behind the scenes
Just a little more than a hundred meters long, the Böttcherstrasse has been one of the most famous sightseeing-attractions in Bremen since the 1920’s.
Museums, arts and crafts workshops, winding alleyways, restaurants, hotels, and high-end retail shops create their own little world here.
Between 1922 and 1931 this “Street of the Coopers” was transformed from old medieval foundations into a unique work of art by the Bremen coffee merchant Ludwig Roselius (Kaffee Hag). Rebuilt after the second world war, the Böttcherstrasse nowadays still is a unique national heritage.
Take a app-guided tour through the street and learn more about Ludwig Roselius and how the houses were built. Look at historic photos or listen to the Glockenspiel whenever you like. Get all the information on your iPhone.
